How to Resize Redshift Cluster?

  • Go to AWS Redshift console and take the snapshot of the cluster that you want to perform resize operation. this snapshot will be helpful to restore the cluster its original state if needed.
  • click on  and then select Resize button.
  • Change the Node Type and Number of nodes your target number of nodes or node type.
  • Then, click Resize. Redshift cluster will restart once and it will put cluster into read-only mode throughout the process.
